This survey describes how securely the information is shared between various provider edge (PE) and customer edge (CE) services. For sharing that information securely, the user needs a secure routing environment. Further, this paper discusses and compares various intradomain and interdomain routing techniques in traditional internet protocol (IP) and multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) based VPN environments through the comparison table and graphical representations.
